Job Title – Project Worker (female only*) Permanent

We are an independent charity providing women’s refuge and related support services to people who have experienced domestic abuse. 
 
37 Hours per week, £19,945 - £23,836
 
This is an exciting and varied position based in an independent women’s refuge.
 
You will need to have an empathetic approach to women and children in crisis.  Working in a positive and empowering way, you will support people to overcome multiple disadvantages, helping them to rebuild their confidence and self-esteem and to identify and achieve their goals.
 
You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment and be able to prioritise tasks within a multi-skilled team which takes a ‘whole family’ approach to support.  
 
You will help to develop and deliver a range of support services including group activities and one-to-one work which meets the needs of families affected by domestic abuse, providing specialist advice and support to women and professionals. You will have experience of working effectively within safeguarding and child protection frameworks.

*This post includes work that specifically addresses the needs of women and children affected by domestic abuse.  The office base is within a women’s refuge.  Therefore this post is restricted to women under the Equality Act 2010.  As the post involves working with vulnerable adults and children, recruitment is carried out in line with safe recruitment practices.
